现代殡仪技术与管理专业Modern Funeral Technology and Management      

As one of only four high educational institutes to offer this major, the department of Modern Funeral Technology and Management is led by the director (Professor) Sun Shuren, a pioneer of Chinese Funeral Education, distinguished teacher in Beijing, a member of the China Funeral Association, and the deputy director of the Committee of experts of the China Funeral Association. The department of Modern Funeral Technology and Management has installed the perfect training base: the Research Venture studio. The school also has a comprehensive mortician training room, body preservation (anticorrosion plastic) training room, cemetery planning center, and CAD design principle of cremation machine and practical training laboratory; all of which enable effective and realistic class practice. Under the care of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China, the state invested 4,000,000 yuan in the construction of the funeral laboratory in order to make sure that the department has the most up-to-date modern training conditions.    

Objectives    

The three modules of the major are: Modern Funeral Planning and Service; Modern Funeral Technology; and Modern Cemetery Planning, Design and Construction Management. Well versed in life and funeral culture in China, we aim to improve the ability of the students in funeral etiquette planning and presiding over the funeral management; to cultivate skills in body preservation and cosmetics, dressing and presentation, and also to be skilled in the operation and maintenance of the cremation machine etc.
